On 3 July, 2022, a votive martial arts demonstration (hōnō enbu) was held at Jindaiji, one of Tōkyō’s most famous temples in Chōfu City.
At Jindaiji remains a votive board that was raised in 1907 by Kondō Yūgoro Sensei, the 5th generational headmaster of our school, and his disciples of the Hatsuunkan Dōjō.
The dedication is thought to have been made in honor of the students who served in the Russo-Japanese War and their safe return and in memory of those who never came back.
This demonstration was held to express our gratitude to our predecessors, praying for peace in the world in challenging times like these.
Guests of honor included Chōfu Mayor Mr. Nagatomo, Higashimurayama Mayor Mr. Watanabe, and many others.
